Frank N. MacLean, Esq.

Attorney Frank N. MacLean, a lifelong resident of the South Shore, graduated in 1984 from Gordon College and from Boston University School of Law in 1987. Since passing the Bar, he has been conducting the general practice of law across the Commonwealth. He has served as a member and chairman of various town and church committees through the eyes of a legal advisor, community participant, husband, and father.

Experience Summary:

Real Estate: Attorney MacLean represents clients in all aspects of real estate use, whether buying, selling, or exercising other rights associated with their land. He is also a licensed real estate broker. He appears before local boards for title and development matters. He spent years serving as local lending counsel, reviewing title examinations, and writing title insurance policies.

Local Government Law: For several years Attorney MacLean served as special counsel to the local Board of Health, where he conducted public hearings and drafted various zoning and health regulations. He has also drafted continuing care retirement community zoning regulations. He represents his clients as needed before local boards and agencies throughout the area.

Business Law: Attorney MacLean guides clients through selecting their business entity type, preparing their paperwork from start-up, and assisting with annual submissions until transfer or structured dissolution is needed. He also represents clients in business acquisition and asset purchase agreements as buyers or sellers.

Estate Planning / Trust and Estate Administration: Attorney MacLean can explain your options and guide you through preparing for your first estate plan, explain the benefits of various trusts, updating your existing documents, or seeking guidance through the Probate Court maze.
